Summer update

Okay, so I am a big slacker when it comes to blogging. Well, we now have a beautiful little girl, Samantha. She was our little Christmas present. Her brothers just adore her. She is getting so big and rolls over and just wants to play with those big brothers.

Moving Right Along

For those that don't know it yet, we recently bought our first home. We closed in October and were able to move in right away. The house sits on just under one third acre, so there is plenty of room to play for the kids, which Hyrum loves. There is a tree in the backyard to climb and a gigantic one across the street for shade. Now that we are finally almost box-less we are starting to feel like we are home.

Piano Recital

I have been teaching piano for the last year and a half. I quit last fall when Braxton was born and started back up in January. There wasn't enough time to put together a formal recital but we decided that we would do a small recital, for the parents, just using songs that were in their books. The kids did really well. They are all such cute kids. I really enjoy teaching them.

We recently took a trip up to Twin Falls, Idaho to see Troy's brother, Sean, and his family. What I didn't know about Twin Falls is, when you get off of the freeway you have to cross a bridge to reach the town. It's not just a small bridge either. The Snake River is at the bottom of this 400 foot drop. We got out on the other side and took some pictures. Braxton was asleep in the car. It was really windy and cold.

I realized that I have not put a single picture of Braxton on here. On October 27, 2008 a bundle of joy arrived. We named him Braxton Mitchell Zaugg. He is now 5 months old and just as cute as anything. The picture on the bottom was taken on his blessing day in January.

Last week, when I did my grocery shopping, the most amazing thing happened. Some of our groceries were put into a paper bag. As dumb as it might sound I felt so grown up. All my life my mother would go grocery shopping at Macey's at get both paper and plastic. So, somewhere along the line I associated this with grown up shopping. Look at that, at 23 I'm finally growing up.

This is too cute! Hyrum loves watching basketball and every time we watch the Utah Jazz play, he jumps up and down yelling "Shoot it, Shoot it!" He even does this when we see football or soccer on TV. We're working on it.
